Summer "Blues"

Do you ever get the summer "blues"? I'm talking about the outdoor kind of blues - the blues found in the rivers, lakes, streams, and creeks, then there are the berry blues with all the wild berries that can be foraged deep in the mountains of North Idaho. We can't forget the deep blue skies showcasing the sun's brilliant rays. Yes, there are so many summer "blues" to enjoy!

Riley, our dog, was enjoying summer's "blues" with us at the lake as we watched the water splash onto the rocks.

Priest Lake is our favorite lake for enjoying some "blues" time, thanks to its crystal-clear blue water, which is cool and inviting, especially on our hot summer days.

We were in our happy element - blue gold everywhere! Picking huckleberries on the side of a mountain with just enough ledge for us both to sit down and pick. Oh what joy!

This has been a summer filled with so many shades of blue... and now, I can hardly believe it is already August! I may get the blues about that... {smiles}

I love every season of North Idaho, and look forward to what August has in store for us.

Stay tuned for more of our August adventures!

Have you had any "blues" this summer?
